Hi, I’m Amy, founder of Adaptable Legal Counsel, a legal consultancy based in the Thames Valley area, designed to provide SMBs and SMEs with flexible commercial/corporate legal support at a fraction of the cost of a full-time solicitor. Whether you need occasional help or regular support, I’m here to help you manage legal risks in a way that works for your business.

Why does this model work?
The Legal Services Act 2006 and changes in regulations since 2019 allow solicitors like me to offer services through a limited company. This means I can provide affordable legal support without the overheads of a traditional law firm and can tailor my services to suit your needs.
Why did I start Adaptable Legal Counsel?
I believe legal support should be accessible to all businesses, not just large corporations. While SMBs and SMEs may not need full-time legal teams, they still need to manage legal risks, whether this is drafting contracts, negotiating deals, managing compliance, or making strategic decisions. Adaptable Legal Counsel offers legal packages for any budget, so you get the support you need without stretching your finances.
This model also allows me to have a flexible work-life balance, spending more time with my family, while offering the same flexibility to my clients.
Who am I?
I qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales at the start of 2022 but have extensive experience in both law and consulting. Before qualifying, I worked as a management consultant at Deloitte and as a paralegal at Panasonic, where I later qualified as a solicitor after completing my training contract. At Panasonic, I gained broad commercial law experience across Europe, working in various industries.
I then moved to RX Global, part of the FTSE 100 RELX Group, where I worked as a Legal Counsel for teams in countries such as the UK, Dubai, and India. My experience at large corporations means I understand the legal challenges and risks businesses face and this is knowledge that I now bring to SMBs and SMEs.
How does Adaptable Legal Counsel work?
I offer flexible packages to meet your specific business needs:
Starter Package: Occasional support.
Basic Package: One day of legal assistance per week.
Premium Package: Five days a week of comprehensive support.
Ultimate Package: Ten days per month for extensive coverage.
